Poggio dei Fiori is located a few minutes from the small village of Castelletto Uzzone in the Valle Uzzone. All amenities including supermarkets and a pharmacy are within 15 minutes. Castelletto is located in the Alta Langha (high Langhe). A region dominated by forests and the scent of wild herbs in the air. The Valle Uzzone is still a green oasis, far away from the beaten tourist paths. You can take beautiful walks and bike rides there. There are also mountain bike trials and guided horse riding. The roads and paths on the hills (up to 800 meters) take you to the peaks, where you can even see Monte Bianco in clear weather. The truffle town of Alba is an hour's drive away. Barolo is about 45 minutes away and the beaches on the Ligurian Sea are a good hour's drive away.
Also check out the possibility of flying and renting a car at one of the airports. The prices are usually surprisingly competitive.
